3 Mom’s Wish List (An “I Wish” Poem)
I wish my laundry would wash itself Then dry itself, fold itself, and put itself away. I wish my house would clean itself Dusting, vacuuming, and scrubbing until it shines I wish dinner would make itself And I could just show up at mealtime I wish my homework would finish itself Writing, studying, reading until complete I wish I could have all that time Spent doing chores and tasks I wish I could spend it all with my children Outside, inside, playing, snuggling, being together.

4 Pink (A Color Poem) Pink is new flowers springing up
In the yard when spring arrives. Pink is a newborn baby Only a few hours old. Pink is glitter, bows, and dresses Fit for a princess. Pink is the cheeks of children Who have been running and playing. Pink is a tiny tongue Poking out of a tiny mouth Pink is Elly With enough shades to match her moods Pink is for girls If you ask Owen Pink is uplifting Bright, cheerful, happy!

9 My Bed (A Comparison Poem)
My bed is a pair of warm arms welcoming me back, holding me, putting me to sleep, keeping me warm through the night until morning comes, and I must leave those arms again.

10 Hermione (“I Am…” Poem)
I am Hermione, with my frizzy hair and know it all attitude. I always have my nose in a book. I get stuck helping Harry and Ron, who are often clueless. I don’t mind, though, because they are my friends. I am Hermione - a sidekick but a very powerful one.

11 Owen (Free Form Poem) Sweet and sensitive Always full of love and snuggles But still all boy – Superheroes and monster trucks Dirt and rough-housing Constantly growing, he tells me he’s big But doesn’t understand that no matter how big He’ll always be my baby, my Owen, my first.

12 Home (A Limerick) There once was a little home And in it three kids did roam They were noisy and loud But made Mommy proud Even though sometimes their antics she bemoaned.
