How To Conjugate A Verb!!! 4 SIMPLE STEPS!!! 1. Determine the verb’s conjugation HOW??? Look at the verb’s infinitive ex. am ō, amāre, amavī – to love CONJUGATIONS: 1 st = -āre; 2 nd = -ēre; 3 rd = -ere; 4 th = -īre 2. Find the “base/stem” of the verb HOW??? Remove the –re ex. am āre 3. Change the “stem vowel” if necessary** 4. Add tense endings (**See next slide!!!)
