2 Causes and Conceptiom Causes and Conceptiom  Degeneration of the nervous system is caused by an autoimmune response that destroys the nervous tissue due to multiple sclerosis (MS).  MS may be caused by Genetic, environmental factors, and possibly even viral infection.

3 Symptoms  Symptoms include: 1. Tingling sensation, much like when a limb is asleep. 2. Slurred speech 3. Blurry or doubled vision 4. Loss of coordination 5. Muscle weakness

4 Prevention  Regular exercise may aid in the prevention of MS.

5 Treatment(s)  Treatments may include: 1. Steroidal drugs to treat relapses of the disease. 2. Human interferons 3. Regular exercise

6 Cure(s)  There are currently no cures for Multiple Sclerosis.
