SOLAR INVERTER & CHARGER
3
We can made a modified form of a solar inverter by merging following items. Charge Controller (cut off) DC Output Inverter AC output Solar sun tracker
4
Charge Controller A charge controller, charge regulator or battery regulator limits the rate at which electric current is added to or drawn from electric batteries. It prevents overcharging and may prevent against overvoltage, which can reduce battery performance or lifespan, and may pose a safety risk. It may also prevent completely draining ("deep discharging") a battery, or perform controlled discharges, depending on the battery technology, to protect battery life
5
Types of Charge Controller Charge Controller can be designed according to the input and output ratings of voltage and current. They are available in 12V, 24V and 48V ratings but we can design a charge controller in which we can merge all these qualities but we can not exceed the current limits. As if the controller is designed for a 60A system then it can be used only up to 60A systems, not more than 60A.
6
I/O ports of a Controller A charge controller consists of 6 ports from which 2 are used for solar input, 2 are used for battery charging and the last 2 can be used for DC load.
7
Inverter A power inverter, or inverter, is an electrical device that changes direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC); the converted AC can be at any required voltage and frequency with the use of appropriate transformers, switching, and control circuits. Solid-state inverters have no moving parts and are used in a wide range of applications, from small switching power supplies in computers, to large electric utility high-voltage direct current applications that transport bulk power. Inverters are commonly used to supply AC power from DC sources such as solar panels or batteries.
8
Solar Sun Tracker A solar tracker is a generic term used to describe devices that orient various payloads toward the sun. Payloads can be photovoltaic panels, reflectors, lenses or other optical devices.
9
Types of Trackers There are two main types of a solar tracker which are single axis and dual axis. We can add a solar tracker with both functions in this solar magic box to increase the functionality of this product.
10
CONCLUSION By designing all these devices in a single product there will be a revolution in solar field. This little box will have all the functions of solar charge controller, solar inverter, solar tracker and UPS. This unit will have the ability to charge the batteries from solar panels and also from WAPDA supply, Run both DC and AC appliances and can also align the solar panels towards the sun.
