2. Excessive Accusations He used a common debate strategy by making far more claims than Ken Ham had time to answer. Any issues not answered then appear to be undebatable facts. Ignored Answers Ken Ham did provide intelligent answers to a number of the claims made by Bill Nye. However, Nye simply wasn’t listening and frequently claimed Ken had not yet answered his questions. 4. Climatologists and Paleogeologists drill deep down into the ancient ice of Greenland and Antartica to study various conditions of the earth and its past environments. It’s worth noting that there is some interesting information that can be gleaned from these samples, but secular scientists engage in a great deal of assumption and speculation from the ice core samples.

5. The traditional thinking is that the topmost layers of these ice cores are indicators of annual or seasonal snow accumulation & compression. As such, they can be counted much like tree rings to determine a relative age of the ice layers. 6. However, there are scientists, both Secular and Christian, that believe these layers do not depict annual seasons but simply fluctuations caused by storms or common changes in temperature. 7. In 1942, six P-38 and two B-17 US fighter planes crash-landed in Greenland. These planes lay undisturbed for decades until they were recovered in 1992 under an astonishing 268 feet (80 m) of snow! 8. To put this in perspective, 268 feet is slightly taller than a 19 story building! If we have undeniable evidence of that kind of accumulation in that short period of time, than 6,000 years is more than enough to account for 11,000 feet depth of the entire glacier system. It also proves definitively that the layers observed in the ice cores samples are not annual rings.

FOSSILS ARE PRIMARILY ARRANGED IN EVOLUTIONARY “ORDER” BASED ON THEIR APPEARANCE AND THE ROCK LAYERS IN WHICH THEY WERE FOUND REMEMBER THIS IS CIRCULAR REASONING TO DATE FOSSILS BY ROCK LAYERS, BECAUSE THE ROCK LAYERS ARE DATED BY THE FOSSILS FOUND WITHIN THEM. PURELY SPECULATION SPECULATION IS A POLITE WAY OF SAYING THE SCIENTISTS ARE SIMPLY MAKING GUESSES BASED ON THEIR PRECONCEIVED BELIEFS. (THAT’S NOT VERY SCIENTIFIC!)

13. Bill Nye made some audacious claims about how many species would have to appear everyday if the earth were only 6,000 years old. He used simple math to deduce the number of species, divided by the number of days in 6,000 years. It appeared very straight-forward and definitive. It was, however, deceptive. Bill cited an extraordinarily large number of species to make his computations. The issue is, that he was trying to disprove the Bible, but he didn’t study what the Bible actually claims. The number that Bill mentions is the current number of all species thought to exist in the world today. This includes all aquatic life, birds, insects, bacteria, and other microscopic life. The reason this is deceptive is because none of these life forms were on Noah’s Ark, and so many of them would have continued to exist during and after the flood. In other words, the Bible never claims that the animal kinds which left the ark are responsible for becoming every single species alive today. HE’S LITERALLY PROVIDING EVIDENCE TO TRY AND DISPROVE SOMETHING THAT SCRIPTURE NEVER CLAIMED TO HAPPEN!

14. Bill Nye also had a lot to say about the feasibility of Noah and his sons being able to build the Ark by themselves. He also had numerous doubts about the eight people aboard the Ark being able to feed and care for all of the animals on board. His main argument was that he didn’t believe a group of people from ancient times would have the intelligence perform such a enormous endeavor.

15. Ancient peoples have engineered and built countless incredible structures, many of which we still are uncertain about the specifics of how they were created. It is incredibly arrogant to think people thousands of years ago are somehow of a primitive intelligence. In fact, it’s entirely possible they were SMARTER than us!

16. Bill Nye repeatedly claimed to be a “reasonable man” and he couldn’t imagine how the historical account of the Ark could be true. THIS IS NOT EVIDENCE, IT IS ONE MAN’S OPINION!! Just because “The Science Guy” can’t think of a way to make something happen, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. In fact, it’s pretty arrogant to try and present that as a reason to disprove something. Noah didn’t have to be a professional shipwright to build the Ark. IT WAS DESIGNED BY GOD! There are small family farms all around the world in which a hand full of people tend to hundreds and even thousands of animals.
