2 Celebrating Puerto Rican Heritage in Allentown The Puertorrican Culture Preservation is dedicated to presenting the annual Parade and the Cultural Festival in Jordan Park to celebrate and share the joy of their rich heritage. Flor Velez, Ismael Arcelay (Special Assistant to Mayor Pawlowski) and Robert Velez gather at City Hall to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Day. Mayor Ed Palowski with the Grand Marshal, Pedro Cortes, PA Secretary of State, Julio Guridy, V.P. Allentown City Council, Francis Acosta, President Reading City Council, Cynthia Mota, Allentown City Council at the start of the 2014 Lehigh Valley Puerto Rican Parade.

3 OUR FESTIVAL PHOTOS 2014 Children’s Arts | Festival Kiosk Visiting Guest Artist on Stage A reported 5,000 people attended the Cultural Festival in Jordan Park to share the art, the music, the food, and the dance.

4 Festival Performances include young community dancers, popular regional bands, and nationally recognized guest artists to entertain the large multicultural crowds.

5 The Puerto Rican Festival and Parade is a free event for people of all ages, and draws families from the greater Lehigh Valley, Reading, Lancaster, parts of New Jersey, and New York City.

6 Parade & Celebration: Heart and Pride!

7 PEOPLE. Vendors, Sponsors, Board Members and Volunteers make it possible to do all of the planning, preparing and presenting that is part of this annual Cultural Festival.

8 This festival day organized by Puerrtorrican Culture Preservation brings families to Jordan Park in June to share a special day for children, with active play activities, storytelling with children’s authors, raffles and prizes, dance and music, face painting and drawing contests. The Allentown Art Museum, the Museum of Indian Culture, Fire and Rescue and the Canine Unit, Parks and Recreation, Wildlands Conservancy and Senator Pat Brown participate.
