Introduction: Should I take this class? What is your goal? BA/BS (4-5 yrs) eg: biological technician, tech sales, K-12 teacher, public outreach, BSN, etc. MA/MS (~2yr beyond BA/BS) eg: tech specialist, lab manager, CC instructor, public outreach, MBA, Nurse Practitioner (MSN), Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, etc. PhD (~6+ yr; MA/MS not required) eg: 4-yr college/univ. professor, industrial research scientist, governmental advisor, etc. Professional Doctoral degrees (no research required to finish; 3-4 yr at least but more if specializing) eg: MD (medical doctor), DO(steopath), PharmD, OD (optometry), DDS (dentist), DPM (podiatry), DVM (veterinary), DPT (physical therapist), DNP (nurse practitioner), AuD (audiologist), DEnv, JD (law), etc.
