1 CLARIS NCT1 Management, coordination and dissemination activities J-P Boulanger (CNRS) and Carlos Ereño (UBA) (CNRS, CONICET, UBA, UR) k To manage the project evolution and relation with the EC k To organize CLARIS general meetings k To make available to all the partners the advances reached in each work package k To strengthen the work package interactions and collaborations via general meetings, workshops, trainings, a project web site and a regular newsletter. k To promote the interaction and collaboration with stakeholders.

2 CLARIS NCT1 Tasks k Task 1 will be to organize four project meetings (kick-off, 1-year, 2-year and final) with two on each continent. The meetings will gather the project partners (including the Network Steering Group), experts from the Expert Advisory Group as well as external participants when they can bring external views and suggestions enriching the project strategy. A special attention will be put in opening the project meetings to stakeholders. k Task 2 will be to disseminate the project results (reports, development of research strategies,) through two web sites (one with a public access and the other one restricted to the partners) and a regular newsletter (6-month basis) gathering information related to the project as well as to national and international meetings, programme calls...

5 CLARIS Newsletter k Frequency: every 6-months k Objectives: k To publicize CLARIS objectives and results k To promote further collaborations between CLARIS partners and other partners from Europe and South America k Length: around15-20 pages maximum k Language: english (+spanish?) k Electronic version in PDF format on the CLARIS web site

6 1)Editorial The opinion of an authority of CLARIS about the Project, its direction, activities is presented here. 2)Project Information This section informs about all the CLARIS issues: CLARIS meeting reports; presentation of the consortium, WP leaders, Experts. 3)Scientific Achievements (major part) This section shows the scientific achievements of CLARIS partners. Focus on CLARIS objectives BUT open to publicize the partners’ results in other projects with issues related to Climate (Prediction, Change, Impacts,…). Regular call to partners to contribute by abstracts or short articles describing results, methodology or points of view on Climate or Impact Issues. 4)Training and Education This area is devoted to present and announce CLARIS training opportunities, as well as the results of such activities. 5)Calendar of Events This section is a list of the upcoming events (conferences, congresses, symposia, etc.) related to global change and organized by different organizations. Project calls from EC, IAI or others would also be listed. CLARIS Newsletter
