6 Self Paced – eLearning Considerations: Need to be disciplined. Make sure to give them time to take the training. Have a way to track progress and expectations. Where do they go if they have questions about the content? Distance Learning Considerations: Typically have very little live instructor interaction. Structured environment with deadlines for course assignments and completion. Can post questions to instructor or group for answers. Does require some discipline to keep on track. Technical requirements that will need to be considered. Virtual Classrooms Considerations: Live classes that have specific start and end times. Requires a high level of participation from the student Need be comfortable with using technology Technical requirements that need to be considered Remote Learning Options

7 Remote Learning Tools Hosted vs Local Solutions Plan for growth Is there a lab component to your training? Consider the security limitations within your organizations. Will students be attending remotely?

8 Know the learning preference of the employee. If implementing eLearning make sure you have a deployment strategy. Make sure to understand the technical requirements (if any) and test them well in advance of the start date of the class. Review any documentation that is supplied by the training organization and review any prerequisites that are required before the start of class. Make sure that your employees are on time and understand that it is the same as attending a traditional classroom environment. Understand the delivery model the training company employs, ask for an audit to ensure that it meets your expectations. Best Practices for Selecting the Right Training

We provide solutions for highly demanding customer requirements in defense, security and safety markets. 20 Information Technology Personnel Server 2008, ITIL V3, VmWare, SharePoint 2010 and SQL Server 2008 Utilized Live Virtual Training and a web portal registration that we set up for them to train employees in their headquarter location in PA as well as 8 satellite offices around the country. The satellite offices are in places where land is cheap/population is low, so access to training in the past meant sending employees travelling. Chemring was able to reduce their training expense enormously by saving on travel costs. Phase two of the training will be to expand the training to their European offices.

10 About the company: ModusLink designs and executes supply chain management, aftermarket and e-Business solutions, across multiple channels, for the world's leading technology and consumer brands. 32 - Help Desk Personnel Needed training for Microsoft – System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for their helpdesk personnel. Employees were located in United States, Europe and Asia Able to avoid additional travel costs They wanted a custom outline to reduce time out of the office. Normal class was 5 days and with the course customization it was reduced to 3 days. Class was delivered in ½ day formats to further reduce time out of the office.
