7 Air masses can control the weather for a period of time: from days to months. Most weather occurs along the boundaries of these air masses called fronts.

8 Cold Front = Stormy Weather

12 Warm Front = Rain & clouds

16 Occluded fronts are produced when a fast moving cold front catches and overtakes a slower moving warm front.

17 Occluded Front

18 Stationary fronts occur when a cold front and warm front meet and neither one advances. These type of conditions can last for days, producing clouds and no wind.
