Salient Features of re-launched Kisan Vikas Patra Kisan Vikas Patra relaunched on 18.11.2014 Denominations of Rs 1,000, 5000, 10,000 and Rs 50,000 No maximum limit Certificate can be purchased by an adult for himself or on behalf of a minor or by two adults (Both join A & joint B) by filling form A form A Amount Invested doubles in 100 months ( 8 years & 4 months)

Salient Features Facility of nomination is available Transferable from one person to another and from one post office to another after one year Encashable after 2 &1/2 years from the date of issue Issued immediately against cash. Issued on the date of encashment if payment is made through cheque/pay order/DD

Salient Features KVPs can be pledged Post maturity interest payable at SB rate from time to time Maturity period is eight years and four months KVP will be now available in all branches of State Bank of India and its associate banks, designated branches of Nationalised and other commercial banks authorized for Public Provident Fund Scheme

Transfer No transfer shall be permitted in respect of a Certificate held by or on behalf of a minor till the minor attains majority In case of death claim & court order, transfer allowed before one year of purchase KVP may be transferred from a Post Office or Bank at which it stands registered, to any other Post Office or Bank to the holder or holders making an application in Form B either at Post Office or BankForm B

Encashment At the Post Office or Bank of its Issue At any other Post Office or Bank if the Officer-in-Charge of that Post Office or Bank is satisfied on verification from the Post Office or Bank of issue of certificate If amount is invested through SAS agent commission of 0.50 % payable to agent Procedure of issue & discharge of NSC will be followed for KVP also
