3 Easy Tech is Divided into 4 Different Segments/Programs  Keyboarding  Digital Literacy by Grade Level-- Skills students will need to pass upcoming online tests.  On-line Safety Lessons -- This set of curriculum items is designed to support online safety objectives for E-Rate and beyond  Inquiry--integrating core subject area instruction with digital literacy skills.

4 Teachers Log on To Program  www.learning.com www.learning.com  In most cases, teacher log in as they would log on to their computer  Username: firstname.lastname  Password: 32#  Jackson-FL  Your classes should already be made (Click My Classes)  Just Assign Curriculum  Email Jean Gause or Tammie Newsome if you cannot log in or your classes are not showing

5 Student Log On to Program  Same user name and password as they log onto computer.  Will begin to do lessons in the order that you assigned them if you set up the curriculum to be forced. If Open, students can pick and choose where they go. (recommend forced)  Teachers can print login cards. Have your class open  Click on Gradebook

6 How to Delete a Student  Click on Class Click on Student Icon Press Edit Click X next to Student Name

7 You can assign all the Keyboarding Lessons and Digital Literacy Lessons all at once by Grade Level (Recommended for Grades 3-8)  Login and have your class open  Click on Assign Curriculum OR  Click on Library  Click on Easy Tech Integrator  Click on the Easy Tech Next-Generation Assessments that pertains to your grade level  Primary, Intermediate, Middle  Choose Grade Level  Assign the units (you can view them)

8 Some Teachers (K-2) or business teachers might prefer to Assign Keyboarding Skills Separately from Digital Literacy Skills  Just click on  And Assign

9 ICONS You can print out the lesson and discuss with class Students record the assignment in a journal. Teacher has to log in and grade the assignment Self paced lessons that students complete independently. Teacher can look in gradebook and see how much time was spent on each section. Projects – Found in the Inquiry Icon.

10 To Move Assignments  Click on Edit next to Class  Click on the To change Order  Click on to delete Assignment

11 To Look at Gradebook, Print Login Cards…Click on Next to Class Name Click desired button Click on Gradebook

12 To Change Class Settings for Assignments Click on Next to Class Name Click Settings If you want the students to go in order that your assigned—click Forced. Also Add a Minimum Score

13 To View What the Students Sees and What Standards the Activity Covers Click on Next to Class Name Click on Student View

14 Online Safety Is better if completed in whole group discussion. Contains discussion lesson plans and a lot of journal entries. Teacher can print out the lessons

15 Inquiry Usually done after students have completed Keyboarding and Digital Literacy  Inquiry by Learning.com is a project-based approach to integrating core subject area instruction with digital literacy skills. A technology skills pre-test is completed by the student before each project to help ensure their success. Students then complete the project by conducting research, creating digital media, and presenting their work to their peers. Students then reflect upon their learning in a final self-reflection assignment. Inquiry includes supporting interactive technology skill lessons including Keyboarding and Online Safety curriculum.  Have your class open—Assign Curriculum  Go to Library  Click on  Assign to your class

16 Inquiry- Projects  Each project includes a step-by-step teacher lesson plan that helps facilitate themultiday project. Each Inquiry unit contains three items: pre-test, project,and reflection.  Pre-tests determine if students possess the technology skillsnecessary to successfully complete the technology-related tasks in the project.  Projects lead students through the process of researching, creating, and presenting core-area content with digital tools.  Reflections reinforce the student goals included in the project and give students the opportunity to write a self-assessment.
