1 More than 3000 teachers have been introduced to the ERWC; the course has been adopted by more than 200 high schools across the state Thousands of teachers use this curriculum—even if the full course has not been adopted ERWC was developed due to the findings of the EAP by a statewide task force including teachers, CSU faculty, and administrators. The ERWC course is approved by the CSU and UC systems as a “b” (ELA) course. 3  14 Standards-aligned modules that: ◦ Focus on working with informational texts; and ◦ Focus on rhetorical reading and writing, vocabulary, and academic language development.  All modules include vocabulary development activities and sample student essays. 3
