4 copyright@Ed2netLearning,Inc4 Rules to find the area of Regular figure Find the area of the square tiles.  The figure indicates 1 square unit for each square tile.  Count the total number of square units.  There are 4 tiles. So, the area of the figure is 4 square units.

Step 2: Count the number of tiles in the smaller rectangle. Step 3: Add the number of squares in each rectangle to find the area of irregular figure.
