Defendant: Stole and ate most of the cookies from the cookie jar Found with chocolate on his/her hands Extremely hungry In the kitchen late at night around 11:00pm 15 yrs. Old (Eldest of four siblings)

Prosecution: Single mother of four children Failed to make dinner that night Saving the cookies for the youngest son’s (4 yrs. Old) birthday party the next day.

Today… Prosecution and Defendant Team: 1). Think about the “theme” of your case. 2). Create your line of questions for direct examination. 3). Create your line of questions for cross- examination. 4). Prep your witnesses. 5). Determine roles and responsibilities. 6). Create opening and closing statements.

Today… Jury: 1). Familiarize yourself with what is acceptable evidence, as well as the rules of a mock trial. If you understand the vocabulary of the mock trial, the more effective you will be in deliberating. 2). Now is the time to ask questions. 3). Select a Jury Foreman

Today… Characters: 1). Familiarize yourself with the story. 2). Develop a plausible backstory based on the evidence from the story. 3). Meet with your lawyers.
