Combined with a short-circuit protection device and a contactor, the TeSys U controller provides protection, control and command of the motor starter. Protection of 3-phase motors – With advanced or multifunction control units, apart from short-circuit protection. Control of the application – With control units combined with the modules, apart from auxiliary contacts. Command – Direct, with non-reversing and reversing output relays. Used in combination with an external current transformers (CT) with 1A at the secondary. The primary must be selected according to the nominal motor current. Control unit 2 types of control unit compatible with the adjustment range of the current transformer secondary. – Advanced – Multifunction Optional modules A choice of 2 function modules : “Thermal overload alarm” module, “Motor load Indication” module. Communication module : this is used to connect the controller to the Modbus bus. Composition of the controller

With communication module – 3 configurable operating modes with register 683: Local mode: controller outputs 13 and 23 are controlled by inputs I1 and I2 of the controller base. Remote mode: controller outputs 13 and 23 are controlled via the bus. Mixed mode: if input I.10 = 0, the controller is in local mode, if input I.10 = 1, the controller is in remote mode. – The dedicated inputs (reset, external fault,…) and the free inputs (drawer in test position,…) being made available for the bus (register 459).
