2 Five Campuses – Over 10,000 credit students Rural & Urban Campuses Three Rural Campuses Gainesville Campus – 2,489 enrollments Bowie Campus – 676 enrollments Graham Campus – 242 enrollments

3 Gainesville Junior College – established in 1924 – partnership with the local Kiwanis Club and Gainesville Independent School District Cooke County Junior College – in 1959 residents of Cooke County passed tax Bond to establish a county-wide college district. North Central Texas College – in 1994, the Texas Legislators defined the service area as Cooke, Denton and Montague Counties

4 Tax District: Cooke County Denton Co: NO tax Montague Co: ½ cent sales tax through Bowie E DC Graham ISD: Branch Maintenance Tax as of November 2009 In-District = Students who live within Cooke County or Graham ISD Out-of-District = Students who live outside Cooke County or Graham ISD

9 Bowie Campus (50 miles from main campus) Community planned to have a “junior college” as early as 1965; the Dream came true in 2000! Bowie voted successfully (after 3 attempts) passed a half-cent sales tax through the 4B EDC to build, maintain and support a campus for the NCTC system with a 20 year partnership

14 Focus on Student Success Department of Education Title III Grant Student Support Services Mentoring and Tutoring Opportunities

15 Summer 2007 - Graham Education Workforce Center received classes from the Bowie Campus ITV system; the community responded positively and asked to join NCTC system Fall/Spring 2007-08 – Partnership developed between NCTC, GEWC, Graham EDC, Graham Industrial Association & Graham ISD Spring/Fall 2008 – Negotiations continued with NCTC/Graham ISD and EDC groups January-June 2009 – NCTC Board and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board overwhelmingly approve the partnership November 2009 – branch campus tax was approved by Graham ISD by ¾ of the vote!

16 Petroleum Technology Program Began in Fall 2011; fully operational by 2012-13 Local donors and business/industries partnered for the start-up and sustainability of the program; Jobs Educating Texans (JET) Equipment for Indoor & Outdoor Training Labs

20 Innovative Pathway Maps created in 2013-14 with the University of North Texas Over 25 Technical Associate’s Degrees approved in the summer of 2014 – these can lead to a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences at UNT Articulations approved with several universities for the 90 hour NCTC ADN/BSN in 2013 Three Collegiate Academies were created in 2013 – high school students can earn an Associate Degree upon graduation
