3  New Hampshire first introduced Indistar as a tool for Schools in Need of Improvement (SINI) and Districts in Need of Improvement (DINI)  Our ESEA Waiver (June 2013) led to a revision of our Indicators which align with the Seven US Department of Education’s Turnaround Principles.  Title I Focus Schools and Priority Schools, 40 in all, select one to three indicators for each of the Seven Turnaround Principles.  In response to Technical Assistance requested from our schools, and data from our Tri-annual Review, the NHDOE in collaboration with our national partners, CEELO, SWIFT and Indistar are building out additional indicators in the following areas:  School-Wide Integrated Framework for Transformation (SWIFT)  Early Childhood http://ceelo.org/indistar-early-childhood-indicators/ http://ceelo.org/indistar-early-childhood-indicators/  Family Engagement

5 INNOVATION PLANS FOLLOW A PATHWAY Multi-year Plan Revised Plan New Plan Address the Following: Gaps in Student Performance Interrelated Nature of 7 Indistar Keys 1-3 Indicators Per Key Activities that Support Depth of Plans Plans fall into one of these pathways.

7 TIMELINE FOR 2014-2015 TRI-ANNUAL REVIEW DateSchool AssurancesNHDOE Assurances August 22, 2014 Submission of a School Innovation Plan Addressing the 7 Indistar Keys Plans will be approved, or provisionally approved on September 9 th, 2014 January 16, 2015 Submission of a School Innovation Interim Report addressing the 7 Indistar Keys and Next Steps Interim reports will be reviewed and feedback will be provided on January 30, 2015 May 14 th, 2015 Submission of a School Innovation Summative Report addressing the 7 Indistar Keys and Next Steps Summative reports will be reviewed and feedback will be provided on May 28, 2015 We strive for the review team to consist of 50% NHDOE staff and 50% Practitioners. Each plan is double blind peer reviewed. Feedback is developed using a holistic rubric and uploaded into Indistar.
