6 Learning Episode 3: Analysis (15 mins)

7 In pairs, using your ‘phones or lap tops or computers, find out as much information as you can about The Cazfest charity. Where does the money from Cazfest go? Why? Feedback on the next slide.

8 Cazfest is a charity that raises month throughout the year. Cazfest raises awareness of heart risk in the young. Money raised from the festival goes to Cazfest which is now an OFFICIAL charity not C-R-Y. A heart screening programme, in partnership is offered in local schools with a large number of pupils already screened through an ECG Test. A number of these screenings have identified potential problems which have been successfully treated. An Electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test which looks at the electrical conduction pathways around the heart. Small stickers known as electrodes are placed on the client’s chest and the wires from the electrodes connected to an ECG machine whilst you lie still. A printout of the heart’s electrical activity is obtained for evaluation by the cardiologist. The test is painless, non-invasive and takes just a few minutes to perform.
