3 Encouraging Students Send a letter to incoming students and their parents welcoming them to the program and letting them know what can be expected in agricultural education. Specifically tell about SAE and FFA.

4 Encouraging Students Teach a 3-5 day unit on SAE during the first month to all incoming students. One part of the lesson should be to have students list how THEY will benefit from having a SAE program.

5 Encouraging Students Have a bulletin board display showing successful SAE programs.

6 Have a successful student speak to the new students Encouraging Students

7 Show the video "SAE: It's More Than You Think"

8 Encouraging Sudents If field trips can be arranged, take the introductory class on a tour of SAE programs.

13 Encouraging Students Have a permanent display of Proficiency Award Medals that students can earn based upon their SAE.

14 Encouraging Students Have students develop a plan outlining their SAE Have students develop a budget for their SAE Have parents and or/employers sign a memorandum of understanding
