6 Side plate tooling in progress

7 Production tooling review LED Reflector The reflector should be manufactured of a cost effective plastic suitable for vacuum metallization, ABS would be suitable. Material not specified on drawing. Lens must be optical grade PC, so we suggest two tools so we can use different materials. The cost of optical PC does not justify tool savings to use one tool for both parts with forecast production volumes. The reflective coating should be durable and provide an optical quality mirror finish on the four surfaces specified on the reflector drawing. Other surfaces to be masked off. We recommend exterior use plating for weather protection. Although this is not exterior application it may be subject to temperature and humidity extremes. Incremental cost is approx. $.04 for exterior grade plating. Part volume: 8.27 cc estimated Regarding body: For the prototype, we suggest we make in two different parts and combine them together with glue?
