3 Lesson Design Teams By the end of this week, each design team will produce and present a standards-based, student-engaging lesson or series of lessons.

4 Product of Lesson Design Principles Lessons will include: prior knowledge, pre- requisite skills, unit vocabulary, guiding questions, a variety of instructional strategies that develop understanding, checks for understanding, and assessments. These lessons will then be posted on the TASEL-M website for teachers to access & edit throughout the year.

5 Retreat Review (Warm up Walk-About) Individual reflection (~3 minutes) Full-group exchange –Walk around the room with your survey, make eye contact and introduce yourself to another participant who is not from your table group. Ask, “What do you recall?” –Record these shared thoughts in the boxes; jot down the name and cluster for each person with whom you shared. –“Thank you!” (~12.25 minutes) Table-group processing: (Round Robin)--share your own thinking, too! For each topic, agree on one idea that seems most significant or novel to share with the whole group. (~5 minutes) Whole group share
