2 Bina Nusantara Introduction Packaging design is a branch of graphic design, & it is all about creating a feel around a product. The packaging effectively is the product: what is inside the box may differ only marginally from rival offerings. But outwards appearance bespeaks unique qualities & value that are consider to persuade a target audience.

3 Bina Nusantara Color on food & beverage package Colors’ package for biscuits, cookies, chips, crackers, etc., usually use red-yellowish, and also representative colors for create the taste / flavor, or inside the food. Bright colors [orange, yellow, purple, red, green, cyan, magenta] are the perfect colors to persuade kids to buy candies.

Brownies are mostly applied for cocoa products. Then reddish come as a supplement. Bright colors have been chosen to create the variation of flavor or taste image inside the product, lately.

According to the alternate of flavors, the color comb. have been created, widely  brown-green, brown-yellow, brown-orange,… Green, brown, or natural colors aren’t favorite colors anymore to create tea packages.

It different in lips and nails color. Starts by using natural color for represent feminine/sexy; pink, light pink, redies, maroon, then come out unique colors to follow mode or trend, such as brownies, black, blue, golden, silver, etc.

8 Bina Nusantara Color on beauty care package Other beauty care products such as a shampoo, oral care, deodorant, soap, sanitary pads have a lot of developing, changes, & increasing formula, ingredient, colors.

9 Bina Nusantara Color on house keeping package The changing of colors code spreads out to many things include house keeping. Beginning by using light colors to express the softness, hygienist, then move on to use bright colors, follows by the multy function, using natural aroma as a perfume (flowers & fruits).

10 Bina Nusantara Color on house keeping package Color can be used to get consumer’s attention  persuade. Knowing the purpose of using a color is the most important to deliver the product’s messages. Repeating a color too many times can create a distraction or dilution of attention.
