2 OLDER PEOPLE AND DRIVING  Older people tend to have loss in their sensory functions, in which they begin to lose their eyesight, depth perception, have sensitivity to light and darkness and hearing loss. Therefore doctors are beginning to refer older patients to an occupational therapists so that they can assess their driving skills

3 STISIM Drive Interactive Driving Software  Provides a virtual world for driving including sights and sounds that one sees when driving and also a virtual rear- view mirror. Also after the drive is completed the stimulator provides the occupational therapist with a printed summary of the patient’s actions including their reaction time, attention, and driving skills

4 Work Seat  The WORK SEAT doesn’t vibrate- it ‘BOUNCES’!”. The “bounce” can be adjusted to range from mild to harsh, with harsh being a truck seat stimulation. 

5 Tran-Sit Stimulation  This stimulator allows patients to learn new transfer techniques and adaptations that need they need in order to compensate for their disability. The seat comes with a bench seat with an adjustable back rest, an adjustable steering wheel, and has doors, handles, and locks that replicate a real car

6 Conclusion  Through this technology, people who thought that they wouldn’t have the chance to drive again are being given the chance to drive again and gain their independence
