System Review Added administrative tools –Edit users, forms, system data Refined consultation and instruction input forms Refined search (basic and advanced) Added data editing capabilities Made system more aesthetically pleasing Database functional

Hurdles CUWebAuth implementation delayed –User authorization work in progress Refine current implementation JavaScript and Browser Compatibility

Home Page Instruction FormConsultation Form Login Administrative Tasks Edit ReportSearch Form Data Entry Data Output System Flowchart

Data Entry Overview Instruction Form Consultation Form HOMEHOME Edit Form DB

Session Form Input Pages JavaScript –Check for correct field data –Automatic date generation Drop Down Menus –Read from database for data Input data -> Processing page -> Edit page

Session Form Edit Pages Different format –Raised white border Fields read in from database If user not allowed to edit page, text is shown instead of forms Notifications of successful update or submission

Refined Requirements Submitted forms now go through the database before confirmation Drop down menus –Libraries –Users Different fields among the two session forms

Task Status: Data Entry Original requirements: 100% complete Refined requirements: 80% complete Further refinements expected –JavaScript form checking –Better display of non-editable records On schedule

Data Entry Demo Instruction Submission Form Consultation Submission Form

Search Function Used to find record in the database Fill out the information All Data / My record Result Display (Result Page) Basic / Advanced Search

Search Result Page Show result of search Table format –Date, Time, Location, Instructor Instruction / Consultation Record Sort Function –Date, Location, Instructor

Basic Search To find general result Search by –Date –Instructor –Library Unit –Combination

Advanced Search Used to find result with more specific information Provide more information Find exact match Same result page

Demo Basic / Advanced Search Result Page

Administrative Tasks: Original Requirements Edit system users and privileges Editable data lists to help maintain data integrity: –Library Units –Levels –Types

Refined Requirements Administrators can also: –Denote which users are library instructors –Permanently delete from data lists –View how many entries use a given data item

Administrative Tasks Menu Edit Users Edit Data Items Add Update Delete Add Update Delete Change Field Search Page Edit Records Administrative Web Pages Home Page
