3 Background Summit 2009 – Sungard announces that the Java Payment Client will be discontinued by October of that year New Web Services based connector released in October, 2009 Original FAQ published on March 22, 2009. Last one updated February 1, 2010

4 Sungard’s FAQ Background on PCI, PCI-DSS, etc. Effectively meant that JPC model required Banner and Institution to become PCI compliant JPC was replaced with new product called “Payment Processor Connection”

5 Sungard’s FAQ Vendors were recruited to develop Payment Applications to interface with Payment Processor Connection Certified Vendors CASHnet Nelnet Official Payments TouchNet

6 Sungard’s FAQ FAQ provided list of affected objects, version and patch #s Payment Processor Connection Handbook – April 2010 Web Services – API based in open, internet- based standards Banner Payment Transaction Service Adapter – Java-based application that exposes Banner functions

9 Lessons Learned Client Setup & Test Plan was in Draft format Official Payments decided to test in their Production environment A lot of confusion about what URLs needed to be opened to their application Unable to test in our development environment due to lack of security certificate/modified internal DNS configuration

10 Lessons Learned Every change on the URLs took days to take effect ChoicePay required static IPs General lack of communication Affected unexpectedly On-line Transcript requests Anyone starting the process should “walk- through” each step with vendor’s PM

11 New Features When finally went live it worked well New form GOICCAU is very helpful
