3 To help improve the level of accessibility to the main statistical reports, the Academic Office will provide the standard reports required for annual monitoring at: J:\Services\Academic Office\Public\ Annual Monitoring - Autumn 2010 This slide shows how to access this area of the J: drive. Reports will not be available until 8 th October 2010

4 All statistical reports can be accessed by users, and customised appropriately, via: University Oracle Portal for Pathway (by Programme) reports Programme Details Access Database (for details of data behind the numbers included in the main Pathway Report) Module Statistics Access Database This slide shows how to access (on the J: drive) a short-cut to the University Oracle Portal which will ease accessibility. Merely copy and paste the highlighted icon (above*) to your desktop. *

5 As an alternative to the shortcut to the University Oracle Portal, you can access the main Pathway (by Programme) Statistical Reports via the route shown below. IMPORTANT: Do NOT select this option

6 Once you have selected the University Oracle Portal (either by the shortcut or the ‘All Programs’ route), this screen will appear. The User Name is ‘regstats’. The password is available from your Deputy Dean (with responsibility for quality assurance) or your Faculty Quality Assurance Officer.

7 Select the highlighted option as shown by * below (NB: you may need to double click on ‘Anglia Ruskin University Statistics’ (shown in bold text below**) to access the eight individual reports). ** *

8 No selection required (ie: the default options apply) 1. Select your Programme 2. Click on ‘Submit’ when all selections have been made

9 isms-support@ anglia.ac.uk This is the front page of the Pathway Statistics Report. This page confirms the criteria used to generate the report. Any data quality issues and/or inaccuracies that you might find should be reported immediately to

10 This is the third page of the Pathway Statistics Report. This page lists the awards, pathways and locations of delivery for which statistics are provided in the following pages of the report. There will be one page for each entry on the list.

11 This is the format for each individual Pathway Report

12 To find out about the details which are behind the statistics provided in the main Pathway Statistics Report (eg: the identity of intermitting students), you can access the Programme Statistical Detail Access Database via the route shown below. IMPORTANT: Do NOT select this option

13 On entry to the Database, you will see this screen. Choose the first option, select the relevant criteria and, to identify students, double click on the appropriate ‘field’. Guidance notes on the use of this Database (to be updated shortly) are available here. To gain access to the University Oracle Portal from this Database, click here.

14 You access the main Module Statistical Reports (an Access Database) via the route shown below. IMPORTANT: Do NOT select this option

15 On entry to the Database, you will see this screen. Choose the second option. Guidance notes on the use of this Database will be updated shortly. [For information, ‘Agreed’ results are those approved by the Departmental Assessment Panel (ie: the output) including external moderation. ‘Actual’ results are the raw marks which are submitted (ie: the input) to the Departmental Assessment Panel. ‘Agreed’ Results should be used for the Annual Monitoring process.]

16 Select the Department for which you require module statistics [if you wish to look at individual locations of delivery, select the location code] [if you wish to look at a particular Semester or Trimester, select the period] Run the Report by clicking here
