3 Most FAQ on CASA 3.4 - continue  Initial Order  Software quantity = Faculty & Staff FTE count or PC count  Institution wide commitment is applicable to all primary products (Windows, Applications and CALs) but not for Servers.  New Additional Software Orders  Can be submitted mid term but not pro-rated  Institution-wide order for Systems, Applications & CALS  Student Option  Must be selected in the enrollment to be eligible to place order for student SKUs  To add Student Option to an existing CASA enrollment, work with LS  For Campus only, graduating students are granted perpetual use rights for the selected CA products. Institution is responsible to issue Student License Confirmation to graduating students upon leaving the institution.

Eg, adding 20 more Office Pro during mid term to an existing purchase of 100  For 12 months renewal, software order qty must meet the program minimum  Channel partner to send in Extension Form to APLQuest prior to the expiration of the subscription enrollment  License price will not increase by > 10%

5 Most FAQ on CASA 3.4 - continue For a 3 Year Subscription Enrollment:  To add/increase qty of existing software purchased on yr 1, work with LS  To add/increase qty of existing software purchased on yr 2 & 3  Increase the software qty when anniversary order is placed  If add/increase is necessary during mid term of yr 2 & 3, work with LS  Anniversary software qty must be >/= yr 1 order  Software price for a 3-year customer will be the same as the time it was first ordered, throughout the agreement term  If a software goes obsolete without replacement, no need to place order for the obsolete software during anniversary  If there is a direct replacement, order to be replaced with replacement sku, we will honor year 1 price  Customer to complete a new subscription enrollment to continue coverage before existing enrollment expires

Fulfillment vendor will verify enrollment# against explore and will override the price to zero. Verbiage added to Acceptance Letter “Please note that the ordering site will not reflect the “free” price status at the time you place the order. The discount is applied by Microsoft’s Subscription Team after the order is received and approved.”  Additional memberships can be acquired through the MSDNAA Web site

11 Most FAQ on Student Select 6.5 – cont.  Downgrade rights applicable  Eg, student that acquires a license for Office Pro 2003 may run Office XP Pro instead  Students are not granted the right to run different language versions of software.  Only 1 language allowed.  Institution may not transfer to any student > 1 license with respect to any version of any product  Student required to sign a Student Select License Agreement  Original signed copy to be kept by Institution during the term of the Academic Select Agreement and for a period of 1 year thereafter

12 Most FAQ on Student Select 6.5 – cont.  Institution required to keep a database of Student Select transactions, with the following record:  Name and Student Identification number  Date on which transaction or transfer occur  Distribution point where transaction or transfer occur  Software name and version  Institution may use a 3 rd party to maintain the database  It must be maintained at the Institution’s location  Institution remain responsible for 3 rd party’s action  Database must be maintained during the term of Academic Select Agreement and for a period of 1 year thereafter  Institution may also use a 3 rd party to process and distribute students’ orders for licenses and media  Institution remain responsible for 3rd party’s action

13 What is New in Student Select 6.5?  Student Select offering extended to faculty & staff of institution  Electronic signature of Student Select License Agreement  To facilitate and streamline the process of transferring licenses to students  Student Select License Agreement must be posted on a website that the institution host.  The website must provide a signature box and a personal identification box in which each student or faculty/staff employee is required to type their name and student or faculty/staff employee identification number as issued by the institution.  “I accept” button must be provided at the bottom of the webpage where Student Select License Agreement is posted, so that each student or faculty/staff employee can accept the terms of the Student Select License Agreement by clicking the button.

19 Most FAQ on Select Renewal  Customers with Select Agreement have the option to renew 1 time for additional of 12 or 36 months or choose to sign a new Select Agreement  Customer needs to renew within 30 days after previous expiration date.  All renewal orders need to submit within 30 days after previous expiration date.  Using Select Renewal Form  All Enrollments will be renewed automatically under the same agreement  Non-renewal – Do we allow customer to place order after expiration date?  Customer has up to 15 days to place license order with previous month usage date Example: 1. Agreement Expiration Date: Nov 30, 06 2. License orders must be placed within Dec 1 – 15, 2006 via MOET with usage date between Nov 1 – 30, 2006

20 Most FAQ on Select Order  What happens to the Select Enrollment if no order received within 1 st year?  A reminder notification letter will be sent on 1 st 90 days after start effective of the new enrollment  2 nd reminder notification letter will be sent on 60 th days prior to anniversary.  If Zero order by 1 st anniversary, enrollment will be terminated.  What happen when I tag Select Agreement to EA.  Compliance check is waived according to EA purchased  Waiver of compliance does not constitute wavier for zero order.  How to order product for Select Program  Submit orders via MOET  Do not submit manual order and MOET for the same order

21 What are the attachments require for Select  Attachments to the Select Enrollment  Media Form: This form must be attached if the customer choose to receive media kit.  v6.5 Enrollment has a check box to indicate if a customer require media kit  If checked “Yes”, a media form must accompany the enrollment when you submit to APOC  Supplemental Contact Form: This form is required if the customer choose to have separate contact notices for  Additional electronic notices  Notices relating to Software Assurance benefits  MSDN  Online Services.  Multiple Previous Enrollment Form: This form is required if the customer is renewing Software Assurance from multiple previous enrollments into a new single Select Enrollment. You need to list all previous enrollments on this form

On customer’s portal aka MVLS, customer will be able to view the licenses by country usage If after CPS has been processed, alternative is to engage MS’s licensing sales team to have an amendment but system will not be reflected. Amendments Single cover page. Customer will be required to sign on the cover page only. Transition For customer with 6.4 agreement but signed new 6.5 enrollment => OK (Note: To include Enterprise Desktop T&C) For customer with 6.5 agreement but signed 6.4 enrollment => Reject For renewal via renewal form=> OK Compliance: True-up Reports: Customers will submit orders for Desktop, Users or additional products. Any item not ordered is considered unchanged and no update statement is needed. An Update Statement is only needed if no orders are placed. Anniversary Orders: No revised of CPS is required. Submit manual order for the anniversary order and pricing is based on the initial CPS but if there are new products, then supplementary CPS will be required. Pricing/Products: Step-up SKUs To make it easier to upgrade from Pro+ to Enterprise edition without incurring the full cost of licensing 2 separate editions of software products Only Office Pro+/Edition (and Std) will be allowed to mix but still enterprise wide commitment. Online Services SKUs No pro-rating and upfront/annual payments schedules only. To support customers where their enterprise commitment is ramped payment, for OLS-type skus, do a supplementary CPS. Customer Care VL enrollment consolidation into EA For customer doing a mass migration to a new/renewing EA, please submit the Multiple Enrollment Form and start date will be based on the earliest end date. BackOffice Buy-out skus Manual order for the L-license skus associated with the products as per pricelist.
