5. New Deal Legacy The New Deal was drastic change in how government was run. The New Deal led to a larger and stronger federal government which still exists today. It also led to a belief that the government was responsible for taking care of its people in times of need. The President became the center of the Federal government

6. New Deal Successors FDR took a huge step towards creating an effective welfare state for the people of the United States. His policies were continued and expanded by many future presidents including Lyndon B. Johnson and Barack Obama but have also been reduced by presidents like Nixon and Reagan.

7. New Deal Products In addition the organizations of the New Deal like the TVA and Public Works Administration were responsible for many of the country’s important buildings and roadways. Example- NYC-Lincoln Tunnel
