Outline Introduction System ▫ Assume ▫ Operation ▫ Flow Application Summary Related Work

Introduction In a maze, lazy people always want to know which is the right direction to go to the exit. However, GPS, as it is satellite dependent, has an inherent problem of accurately determining the location of objects located inside buildings. Our goal is to implement a prototype indoor location-sensing system using easily accessible wireless devices

System assumption We assume the target which in some place and take a RFID The range which readers can detect is a circle We put a lot of reference RFID which we already know its location in the environment We can detect the strength of RFID, so it can help us to find out the distance where the RFID locate We already have the map of maze

System Operation We guess the location of the target using the reference RFID which we put a lot in the environment Then, we use the reference RFID which is closing with the target to get the absolute location of the target Therefore we get the location of target, we can tell the target which the direction is close to the exit

System Flow client People in maze Need help Continue walking NO Get the location of people by reference RFID Get the absolute location of people Tell the people the right direction server

Application Find the kids who is away from their parents in super market Monitor people’s motion in indoor environment Find target object in indoor environment

Summary We implement a indoor location-sensing system by RFID If we have long distance RFID, our system can be more close to real
