8 Tasks  Collecting semantic content – Crawling the Semantic Web, taking into account semantic relations linking knowledge and data  Analysing and indexing semantic content – Extracting metadata from the collected documents, focusing on capturing the richness and the qualities of the knowledge  Providing efficient access to the collected knowledge – Consider a variety of interfaces, for humans and software, from simple keyword search to formal queries in SPARQL

This represents Millions of RDF entities, most of them being instances. New sources of knowledge are frequently integrated (FOAF, DBPedia, etc.), so that this number is growing rapidly.
