A vegetarian diet may help to reduce the risk of developing medical conditions such as obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. 3 Market Potential An increasing number of people are looking toward healthier or vegetarian meals, causing for an increase in demand on this type of product. An estimated 30% increase in demand of vegetarian type meals, would increase output of stomboli’s by 30%, therefore increasing profit by 30%.

4 Anticipated Profit If Philadelphia Fresh Bake Co. sells about 1000 cases per month, (depending on demand from consumers) 32 per case, selling at $.90 = $28800 per month. A 30% increase on this profit would be $8640 per month Making the anticipated profit for the month to be $37440

8 Shelf-life Recommended shelf-life for this product would be 1 year. The biggest problem resulting from the high water content that comes from the vegetables in the filling. Any partial defrosting and refreezing could cause the ice crystals to be come very large and damage the products. In order to prevent such occurrences the product should be frozen immediately and stored frozen until ready to use.
