2 Using the History Databases Facts on File’s History Database Center is a set of comprehensive and authoritative reference databases. The set includes: American History World History American Women's History African-American History & Culture American Indian History & Culture Ancient History & Culture

3 Using the History Databases Begin your use of the History Databases from the JCC Library home page. Click here.

4 Using the History Databases Select History Research.

5 Using the History Databases The home page will display.

6 Using the History Databases On the main page of the History Database Center, you will see a left-hand menu. This is the main navigational tool of the database. From it, you can search all the history databases in the reference suite, or choose an individual database to access its unique searching and browsing capabilities.

7 Using the History Databases The link to the Help page is found in the top right-hand corner of every page, as are links to help files for the individual databases, when you are using them. Left-hand menu Help button

8 Searching the History Databases To browse any of the individual databases, click the database name in the left-hand menu. Any subsequent searches you perform will only apply to the chosen database. You can return to the History Database Center home page at any time by clicking Home in the menu bar at the top of the screen. For more information on how to browse the individual databases, read the Help section on Browsing.

16 Searching the History Databases You can start a new search from the box on the left. You can also restrict the search to particular types of information
