Easter ?? o What are the risks involved in having non-experts babysit the cooldown over Easter weekend? —Worth bringing in PSI expert(s) o Walter Glor or other? o Quench Detector currently not working – need this operational in order to define DS as “working” —“working” means operating at 870 A for at least 24 hours without quench Working target – Stands.. —one in R78 for demo —one in ISIS for data

March 23, 2009Commissioning Needs-Coney3 Issues Documentation inventory/overhaul —Instructions for shifters – things are in flux, old documentation needs updating —Safety – need all relevant documents in one obvious place Detectors – —Need to investigate/design luminosity monitor —Who will build it? Get Decay Solenoid magnet-on lights working —reposition light on top of turret; check light in ISIS vault Computing —Still cannot print on OKI printer in R76 —Need Windows PC in MLCR —Need connection to GRID from MLCR

Sign-out not obvious – reposition? —Crowded and messy o more shelves on wall o Network connection cables & monitors are under control —Beautification/PR – should be obvious that there is an important experiment happening in Hall/MLCR o posters coming regarding who we are and what we are doing UK Budget crunch having severe impact on available personnel
