1 Access Control System Characterization Presenting: Ehud Bahat Amir Levy Instructor: Erez Zilber November 2003

2 Project Goal The system will remotely control and administrate devices in a CANOpen network. The system will manage users and their privileges in the network.

3 Specifications Receive events from devices and act accordingly. Send control and configuration messages to devices. Administration of the users and devices in the network. Produce reports of the system activity.

4 Inputs Events arriving from CANOpen interface: –State change in a component. –Acknowledge messages. –Message with arguments. Web administration: –Adding, removing or updating users and components. –Modify users permissions. –Report requests.

5 Outputs Sending messages to CANOpen interface: –State modification (initBus, stopBus, boot, stop, reset, reset communication). –Data messages (read, write, emergency) synchronous or asynchronous. Web administration: –Produce reports: Log of events, exceptional events and illegal events.
