2 Games at Bolton About the Module  Sixty credits  Replaces: –Computer Games Development Methods –Games and Entertainment Technology 3 –Artificial Intelligence (option) –3D Games Programming (option)

3 Games at Bolton About the Module  Allows you to do AI and 3D programming –We had to fudge this before  Allows us to cover more interesting technologies –Also, we can update the course more easily  Allows you to create a “portfolio piece”  Your Final Year Project can now focus more on the academic aspects –Our external examiner is very keen on this

4 Games at Bolton About the Module  Module is split up roughly into:  Fundamentals –Fundamentals of 3D, fundamentals of AI  Advanced Technologies –Which could be anything  You’ll do Fundamentals in S1, Advanced Technologies in S1 and in S2 –If in doubt, ask!

5 Games at Bolton Your Final Year  40 credits – Project  60 credits – Advanced Games Technology  20 credits – Business of the Computer Games Industry  Make sure you do your project properly! –If we’re in doubt about which classification you deserve, we may use your Project as a decider!
