Scott Lake Park The Vision The Vision The Objective The Objective The Plan The Plan The Results The Results

Our Vision:  To Become Ohio’s First Environmentally Green Campsite/Technology Center

Our Objective:  Develop Scott Lake Park to the point that it is a Self-Sustaining Facility that provides the following:  A Family-Centered, Wholesome, Campsite Environment  Appealing Facilities that Draw the Business Sector to Scott Lake Park for Their Various Functions  A Center for Learning & Training about Renewable Energy

This Last Point is Key. It is Our Funding Base.  The Academic Community  The Renewable Technology Sector  The General Community These things Can Be Done through the Draw of a Green Facility! As a Learning Center, we impact

The PLAN: 1.Secure Partners 2.Identify What Each Partner Contributes to the Project: 3.Target Elements on the Site for Appropriate Technology Implementation Let’s Address These Components Sequentially

The Plan: 1.Secure Partners from the Following Sectors:  Academic  For-Profit  Manufacturers  Non-Profit

The Plan (cont) 2. Identify What Each Partner Contributes to the Project:  Academic (Oberlin College) Clout, Funding, Potential Staff, Community Ties  For Profits  Scott Lake Park Greater Family, llcVision, Land, Funding  Ewing & Associates & Roben Energy Structure, Oversight, Energy Expertise

The Plan (cont)  Dovetail Solar Photovoltaic Solar Planning & Implementation, Training Expertise  Jennings Heating & Cooling Thermal Solar Planning & Implementation, Training Expertise Manufacturers

Partners (cont)  Non-Profits  Office of Energy Efficiency Technical Expertise, Funding, Exposure  Ohio Clean Air Quality Funding, Exposure  Lorain MHA Funding, Training Pool  HUD Funding, Exposure

The Plan: 3. Target Elements on the Site for Appropriate Technology Implementation  The Lake  The Cabins  The Green House  The Pool  The Lodge  The Very Large Solar Array for PV

Target Elements on the Site for Appropriate Technology Implementation  The Lake Can Be Used as a Closed Loop Geothermal System to Heat & Cool the Lodge

Target Elements on the Site for Appropriate Technology Implementation TTTThe Cabins Can be Heated, and Water can be Heated as well via Thermal Solar.

 The Green House Can be used to Generate BioMass Energy

Target Elements on the Site for Appropriate Technology Implementation  The Pool Can also be an Excellent Demonstration of Solar Thermal Heating

Target Elements on the Site for Appropriate Technology Implementation  The Lodge Will Employ Geothermal, Solar Thermal, & PV to Meet its Heating, Cooling, & DHT Needs.

Target Elements on the Site for Appropriate Technology Implementation TTTThe Very Large Solar Array for PV Will be Used to Supply Electricity for Lodge, Oberlin College, Cabins, Lorain MHA, and Primitive Campsite Elecricity Needs, in addition to Supplying Pump power for water.

Potential Cost Breakdown

We Have A Great Opportunity!  Working together, we can forge a Partnership which can affect communities for generations!  Let’s make it happen!
