2  Fallingwater was designed for the Kaufmann family in 1935  Completed in 1939 and instantly became famous  1991 Architectural Record published a list of the 100 hundred most important buildings of the previous century which included 12 of Wright’s masterpieces (Fallingwater)  2001 A.I.A. selected their top 10 favourite buildings of the twenties century topped by Fallingwater  Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) born in Wisconsin  Designed hundreds of famous structures worldwide  1991 the greatest American architect of all time (by the American Institute of Architects) Source: franklloydwright.org 2012
