Epistiniya Fyodorovna Stepanova (1874-1969) - Russian woman whose nine sons died in the war, holder of the Order " Heroine Mother " and World War I level.

Stepanov lived in the «hutor Perviy May»(now hutor Olkhovskiy ). Timashyovsk district of Krasnodar region. Epistiniya Feodorovna gave birth fifteen children. Ten children survived - nine sons and a daughter.

There is a museum in the village of the Dnieper, on Kuban. It bears the name of brother Stepanov. It is also called the Museum of Russian mother. After the war, the mother gathered here all her sons.

Timashevsky Museum family Stepanov is the only memorial museum in Russia, about the life of a simple Russian family. The museum was built in November 1970. The opening took place May 9, 1972. In a short time the museum staff was headed by the first director Angelina Pavlovna Pisareva. There is an exhibition-advancing of funds Krasnodar Historical-Archaeological Museum-Reserve on the ground floor and works by local and Moscow artists. On the second floor there are brother’s photos, letters from the front, musical instruments.
