Finding the mode A dice was thrown ten times. These are the results: What was the modal score? 3 is the modal score because it appears most often.

What is the modal method of travel? 8 Most children travel on foot. Travelling on foot is therefore the modal method of travel. Emphasize that the modal method will have the highest frequency.

This could stimulate discussion about why some people like sport better than others and what can be done to encourage more people to take part in sport, as well as whether people should be influenced in their lifestyle choices by schools or the government.
