9. IHL Summer Developmental Program Students who do not meet the criteria for regular admission are nonetheless eligible for admission. Such students must participate, however, in an on- campus placement process at the university of their choice. The process will determine whether the student may be enrolled in regular freshman-level courses in the Fall semester or required to enroll in the summer semester with mandatory participation in the Summer Developmental Program. Successful completion of the Summer Developmental Program entitles the student to continued enrollment in the Fall semester at the university of his or her choice.

12. Academic Common Market The purpose of the Academic Common Market (ACM) is to share between states specified academic degree programs located at southern public colleges and universities. This is accomplished through an exchange of students across borders at in-state rates.

13. To qualify you must: Be a resident of Mississippi. Select a program eligible for Mississippi residents. Complete the admission process at the institution offering the eligible Academic Common Market program. Be certified as a resident of Mississippi by the ACM coordinator for Mississippi.

College Goal Sunday College Goal Sunday is a statewide volunteer program that provides free information and assistance to students and families who are applying for financial aid for post secondary education. College Goal Sunday brings together financial aid professionals from colleges and universities along with other volunteers to help college-bound students and their families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. This form is required for any student seeking federal and state financial aid, including grants and loans at all colleges in the country.
