So to get rid of icterus one had to make a doll and put it into a box then throw it into the river. Preserved rituals are mostly connected with different ceremonies and festivals.

10. Unit V. The Chuvash Folk Art. Russian>> The Chuvash are divided into three ethnographic groups: Viryals, Anatri, Anat – Yenchi. The differences are observed in embroidery. Other branches of folk art such as wood carving, ceramics and wicker work have no distinctions between different ethnographical groups. Articles of silver and beads are a bright and original phenomenon in the Chuvash art.
