4 cc Per Flensburg 4 Informatics The Swedish subject “Informatics” corresponds to the German “Wirtschaftsinformatik” Social Informatics deals with three questions: What are the consequences of IT-use for society, organisations and individuals? How shall we explain and understand those consequences? (Not necessary in cause-effect terms!) How shall we avoid unwanted consequences?

13 cc Per Flensburg 13 Three kinds of master Broad master: One year above a bachelor, broadening the subjects Deep master: One year above a bachelor, digging deeper in the subject EU master: Two years above a bachelor In certain German Fachhochschulen the deep master is considered equal to the EU-master!!!!

14 cc Per Flensburg 14 questions to answer What is the network society and what are the mechanisms behind it? What are E-services and how are they used? How do you design IT-systems in this context? What are the professional demands on the IT experts? How can you maintain your competence in the future? What scientific methods are used for investigations? And of course: A master thesis Each course is 7,5 ECTS, the thesis 15 ECTS
