2 Brake Inspector ® is an electronic air brake diagnostic system that monitors a vehicle’s air brakes  Identifies brakes that are out-of- adjustment or approaching the adjustment limit  Detects non-activating brake chambers  Indicates slow to activate brake chambers  Indentifies brakes that have failed to release  Detects slow to release brake chambers  Indicates weak or broken parking brake springs®

9 Brake Inspector ® Features Driver mode and Maintenance mode Driver Mode shows LEDs lighting only when a brake “fault” condition is detected. Brakes working properly (“no fault” conditions) are not shown. Driver mode shows lights only when a “fault” is detected at the wheel sensor. Normal brake application shows all LED’s off in driver mode. Maintenance mode shows all LEDs lighting each time brakes are applied. 10 Brake Inspector ® Features  Intelligent sensors mounted at brake chambers identify brake faults and communicate with Display Module.  Electronic wheel-end sensors programmed to DOT standard 1.75”, 2.00”, or 2.50” stroke travel limits.  Sensors activated by magnetic clevis pin (trucks) or magnetic clamp indicator pin (trailers).  Powerful magnetic field with up to ¼ inch air gap with sensor

13 How Does Brake Inspector ® Work?  Brakes are applied and the push rod moves the magnetic clevis pin across sensor face  Magnet activates sensor and a multiplex signal transmits data to Display Module  Brakes are released and the push rod retracts the magnetic clevis pin across sensor face  A multiplex signal transmits data to Display Module ® Brakes ReleasedBrakes Applied

14 How Does Brake Inspector ® Work?  Green  Green LED’s on the Brake Inspector ® module indicate that all brakes are within adjustment limit  Yellow  Yellow LED’s on the Brake Inspector ® module indicate 1/8 inch stroke travel left before limit.  Red  Red LED’s on the Brake Inspector ® module indicate stroke travel has reached or exceeded adjustment limit ® Maintenance Mode Driver Mode
