All rights reserved. 3 - 16 Business Architecture: Oracle Applications R12.x 1.R12.x EBS (ERP, CRM, SCM, SEM 2.R12.x EBS has 5 principles that drive its business architecture: Modern foundation –standards include using Java/J2EE, HTML, JavaScript (JSP), Internet- accessibility, and centralized management Complete (100+ different sub-modules) End-to-end integration –integration is engineered into the product, thereby providing a fully NATIVE integrated package—one that is not realized through system integrations and customizations. Global –multiple languages and currencies; supports international features, such as flexible date formats and multiple radix support; supports data in the Unicode Character Set (gmail UTF-8); and has accounting and business localizations built into it. Rapid implementation and maintenance –rapid installation tool, patch application tools, and a host of configuration files and customizable Help files to allow the customer to configure the system to meet their needs

R12.x EBS allows access through multiple channels including internal networks (LANs/WANs) and external networks (Internet/VPNs). All the choices in the network, good or bad, will ultimately affect your performance.
