Boots & Coots Involvement in the RIO Project Background There are over 2,000 oil wells in Iraq. 1991 Gulf War – Hussein sabotaged 849 wells. Of those, 732 required blowout intervention.

Helped train 12 military teams charged with securing oilfield infrastructure in the South. Procured and expedited equipment.
