4 For those that purchased through Southeast Tech: Set up your login on your Southeast Tech laptop When booted, you’ll be presented with a License Terms screen. Click I accept On the Register and Protect screen, click Skip On the Settings screen, click Use express settings On the Sign in to your Microsoft account screen, click the Create a new account link near the bottom of the page On the Create a Microsoft account screen, click the Sign in without a Microsoft account link near the bottom of the page On the Your Account screen, create a User name, Password, and Password hint. Click Finish to complete setup.

7 Southeast Tech Technology Resources Policy Southeast Tech technology resources are for educational purposes only User accounts and electronic content are the property of Southeast Tech Prohibited network activity includes, but not limited to: Sending, accessing, uploading, downloading, or distributing offensive, profane, threatening, or pornographic materials. Downloading or transmitting games, music, or non-educational videos. Note: Downloading of inappropriate items at home and transporting to Southeast Tech is still a violation. This is still Southeast Tech’s network environment. Vandalizing, damaging, or disabling property of the school. Accessing other individual’s files without permission. 10 Browsers STINET Certified with Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, Internet Explorer 10 You may find times where Internet Explorer 11 won’t work. Use of other browsers has not been tested with STInet Many browsers update frequently, so if something doesn’t seem to work in a browser, try a different browser to see if that resolves the issue Avoid use of extra toolbars Toolbars can interfere with features of STInet

37 Making schedule changes… The deadline to ADD courses is January 16 The deadline to DROP courses is January 23 The DROP deadline applied to ALL courses within the semester, even courses that begin later in the semester. After January 23, there is no refund for individual classes that you withdraw from. PLEASE NOTE: Dropping a course may keep you from continuing on in your program next semester! Make sure you visit with your advisor BEFORE making a schedule change.

39 Testing Out… If you are currently registered for a course that you want to “test out” of, you must do so by FRIDAY, January 16. For English & Math courses, ACT or COMPASS/ACCUPLACER scores are used to determine “test outs”. “Test Out” exams are available for Keyboarding & Computers classes. Contact the Testing Center, located in the Wood Building. 367.6014. There is a $50 test out fee. Please visit with your advisor if you have questions regarding “test outs”.
