Pantheon The Pantheon, meaning "Temple of all Gods“, was commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus as a temple to all the gods of ancient Rome, and rebuilt by emperor Hadrian about 126 AD. Now it is the most preserved building in the city and the grave of the Italian kings who ruled up to 1946 when the Italian Republic was born.
