22 Your Coach: David Davenport  David is the Middle Eastern distributor for Facet5 and has extensive experience in both giving feedback and running Consulting Tools accredited programs teaching others give feedback based upon Facet5 and associated modules. David originally trained as an academic philosopher before making the switch into business and training. In Bahrain David was previously the joint Project Director for the National Employment Project, and most recently he has established the Gulf World Institute for Career Development and Quality.  As a guide for the Business and Professional Journey, David utilises in particular the Learning Organisation model to structure goal setting and progress and create a template against which professionals can measure their progress. As a guide for the Life Journey, David has studied wisdom traditions for over 35 years and involved himself in human potentials training, auditing and contributing to programs in Transpersonal Counselling and Shamanic studies through the Phoenix Institute in Melbourne. A strong and insightful advocate of the Hero's Journey as way for individual's to access and create their own inner myth, wherever David coaches or counsels, he is conscious of the need to understand clearly where we are, where we are going, and what is the next step.  As a trained philosopher and logician, David brings great rigour to thinking and coaching interactions, cutting through the obscurities and digressions that cloud our vision and he will work with you to achieve greater clarity and articulation for the life work and journey.  Thirty years experience in training and teaching martial arts. David has black belts in both Tai Kwon Do and Aikido and has been teaching both arts for many years. He also has extensive experience in yoga and this training has been accompanied by a study of the wisdom literature of the East bringing another significant perspective to the coaching conversations.
