Slide 1 New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features The ‘my home’ page gives quick and easy access to key areas of the site, including learning, assessments, L&D log and planner.
2
Slide 2 New Broker ASSESS– walk-through of key features Under ‘my learning’, all learning content within the system can be accessed. ‘Insurance Essentials’ and ‘Regulatory Essentials’ are prioritised, followed by technical insurance learning.
3
Slide 3 New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features The quickest way to find content on a given subject is via the ‘Library Word Search’ feature. Items can be added to ‘My Planner’ and a completion date set.
4
Slide 4 ‘My planner’ contains items added by the user, as well as items which can be added by the user’s manager – for groups or individuals. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
5
Slide 5 ‘Planner options’ enables the user to choose whether or not to receive email notifications and set frequency (daily, weekly monthly) New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
6
Slide 6 The planner notification email contains a summary of items on your planner, including overdue items, with links to the learning. All learning undertaken is then fully tracked by the system. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
7
Slide 7 The 200+ interactive e- learning modules use text, questions, feedback, examples, graphics, animations and exercises to teach the key learning points. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
8
Slide 8 All formal assessments set by the organisation are found under ‘My Assessments’. These can be ‘pre-set’ assessments or created using the KAS. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
9
Slide 9 The user can see details of the ‘recommended learning’ prior to taking an assessment, in order to prepare. This is automatically generated by the system based on the questions in the assessment and their associated learning. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
10
Slide 10 During the assessment users can move back and forth, amending their answers, until they are ready to submit them. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
11
Slide 11 At the end of the assessment, depending on the way it has been set up, the user is told their score, the questions they got wrong and their recommended learning based on any wrongly answered questions. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
12
Slide 12 The recommended learning can then be added to ‘My Planner’. This completes the assessment cycle and ensures that competence gaps identified by the assessment can be filled. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
13
Slide 13 All formal assessments set by the organisation are found under ‘My Assessments’. These can be ‘pre-set’ assessments or created using the KAS. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
14
Slide 14 All online learning and assessments are automatically tracked and recorded in ‘my learning and development log’. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
15
Slide 15 Offline activity, together with objectives, can be added. CII members can import their L&D log entries directly into the CII’s CPD online system for submission to the CII. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
16
Slide 16 The Ed. resource centre provides a variety of resources including how to use Assess to help meet regulatory objectives, an insurance glossary, and access to the CII’s online information service New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
17

18
Slide 18 Organisation administrators have access to a range of features giving them flexibility and control over management of users and a comprehensive set of reports. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
19
Slide 19 The Group Hierarchy can be structured in the same way as your organisation’s hierarchy, to allow for meaningful reports. Groups and users can be created and moved if necessary. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
20
Slide 20 An administrator can view an individual users’ profile, including what courses they are enrolled on. It can also store personal details and qualifications for HR purposes. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
21
Slide 21 A key feature for administrators is the Knowledge Assessment System (KAS) which allows the administrator to ‘clone’ an existing or pre- set test, or create an entirely new one. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
22
Slide 22 Assessment creation is simple – using a 5-step Wizard. First, set the test parameters – time limit, passmark etc. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
23
Slide 23 Questions can be either randomised from over 3000 questions across a range of subject areas, or explicitly chosen or excluded. 3 levels of questions are available: foundation, intermediate or advanced. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
24
Slide 24 The test can be weighted across the different competence areas chosen – eg. 20% on one subject, 40% on another. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
25
Slide 25 Finally, the test can be set to start and finish on a certain date – perhaps in order to allow time for some pre-assessment learning to take place. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
26
Slide 26 And reminders can be set – eg. to the test creator to advise who has not attempted the test 1 or 2 days prior to its close New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
27
Slide 27 The ‘group planner’ feature enables a manager or administrator to add a course to staff planners – eg. if everyone is to undertake some training on eg. Data Protection prior to a test. New Broker ASSESS – walk-through of key features
